Both offer very similar fitment and we have not had the pleasure of testing both of these receivers on the 2019 Lexus NX 300 so it is difficult to say which one would offer more ground clearance.

Both Curt hitches that fit your 2018 Lexus NX 300, the 1-1/4-inch Class II # C12172 and the 2-inch Class III # C13337, use common mounting points on the vehicle's frame.
So as far as the installed appearance goes, there will not be very much difference between the two. Both hitches' cross tubes are visible. To my eye neither offers a compelling cosmetic advantage over the other so I still recommend the 2-inch model # C13337 shown in the linked photo and installation video.
